Jaron Bourke

Jaron Bourke advises non-profit advocacy organizations on Congressional strategy. He is President of Victory Margins, a messaging and media firm founded by political veterans to persuade a mass audience, including moderate and working-class voters, to support liberal causes and Democratic candidates.

Previously, an experienced Capitol Hill aide with a 30-year career protecting workers, consumers, veterans, taxpayers, and the environment. Bourke managed Democratic staff of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.  He has expertise in legislating; performing in-depth oversight of federal programs and regulatory enforcement; conducting major Committee investigations into government and corporate misconduct; managing communications with journalists; writing, and hiring, mentoring, and directing diverse staffs.

Bourke’s oversight and investigations delivered promised benefits to veterans and resources for foreclosure prevention. His advocacy helped to blunt the ravages of the Great Recession and the Trump Administration.

He advised the House leadership on federal labor issues. He worked with unions to prevent closure of manufacturing plants in Northeast Ohio, block Fast Track Trade Negotiating Authority, and litigate to preserve collective bargaining.

Bourke consulted on numerous Congressional and state-wide campaigns. In addition, he has extensive experience at every level of public interest advocacy—as a researcher, writer, union organizer, and electoral campaign staff.

A sample of his work, of which he was the principal author, can be seen below.
